Welcome

BASE CAMP 40, WARRIOR'S IN THE WILD, started as a Colorado private land cow elk hunt for our nations veteran's who have sacrificed so much for this great country. Originated in 2011 and operated under the 501 (c) (3) Whistler Entertainment Inc, BC40 hosts our nations hero's on several beautiful ranches here in western Colorado for a 5 day trip of a lifetime. Located in Colorado GMU40, this hunt takes place in the middle of some of the greatest elk habitat in the country, thus setting the scene for an up close and personal experience with these magnificent creatures. In 2014, BC40 expanded into other parts of the country, offering hunts in Texas, Kentucky, Alabama, several other ranches in Colorado, and an incredible Fishing Expedition with Charlotte Queen Adventures in British Columbia. Heading Into 2016, BC40 has hosted 69 veterans to date, and continue to add more opportunities here in CO.

In 2012 we were honored to have Navy Seal Chris Kyle along for the hunt. On 2/2/13, Chris was tragically taken from this earth,  with the Glade Park "Seal On The Mountain Hunt" now being conducted in his honor.

"It is our duty to serve those who serve us" were the words that Chris lived by, with BC40 forging ahead on those words in order to give back to those who have given so much.

Hi, I was wondering how I could go about participating in a hunt, fishing trip, or other event. I am an active duty Marine and am feeling a bit out of it lately and I think something like this could help get me on track. Thanks for what you guys are doing, even if I do not get in on something with you all, it's nice to know things like this are out there. Thanks, Bobby

Paul, I'm writing this to tell you that basecamp 40 and what it is ,stands for,and the people that all help out are phenomenal.. what you have going and what your about is genuinely inspirational . From the welcome at the airport, all the way to the goodbye after the frutia fall festival. Every part of the trip was above and beyond from some of the other trips I've been on BIGTIME . I've only been hunting a hand full of times in my life and with the PTSD now it makes it almost to difficult to get out and enjoy things like that. Thanks for turning me over to the Ute Trail Ranch with Kermit Miller ,and Spencer Thomas. These mountain men of Colorado showed me a seriously amazing time ( check out the pic on my profile everyone ) The festival, I didn't think I could handle. On most trips vets opt out for that kind of crowd. But Kermit talked me into it.. And you know what? I'm glad he did ! Who can beat Morgan opening up with that voice !! Or The Scooter Brown Band live!!!! The amount of kindness the town showed me was unreal. The Colorado parks and wildlife and some local police took me around and I really got to listen to how much they respect it out there and how rough there jobs can be. My hats off to them for there service. I'd met Chris Kyle earlier during the hunt and at some point I got to even talk to him personally. Id like to take a moment to say to his family ... From my family to yours, you have our deepest condolences. Chris... What he came home to do for veterans like me , and the good he tried to instill in his fellow soldiers in arms will go down in history. I know that BC 40 will keep his good name and story strong and true for the ages to come. I know I will... When I came home from the trip I started a non profit organization called, To All Good Soldiers. I've been working long hours on it and I hope when TAGS is up that it can do a fraction of what BC40 does . I saw what you guys did for Chris, and it's amazing. Id like to give his family something from my heart. for me..... It would be privilege and an honor. Id like to make a flag for Chris's family. But unlike any flag that people have seen before. Let me know your thoughts. Don't ever stop doing what you do for veterans Paul, it does make a difference.. You make a difference. Thanks Ryan Alaniz
