Welcome

BASE CAMP 40, WARRIOR'S IN THE WILD, started as a Colorado private land cow elk hunt for our nations veteran's who have sacrificed so much for this great country. Originated in 2011 and operated under the 501 (c) (3) Whistler Entertainment Inc, BC40 hosts our nations hero's on several beautiful ranches here in western Colorado for a 5 day trip of a lifetime. Located in Colorado GMU40, this hunt takes place in the middle of some of the greatest elk habitat in the country, thus setting the scene for an up close and personal experience with these magnificent creatures. In 2014, BC40 expanded into other parts of the country, offering hunts in Texas, Kentucky, Alabama, several other ranches in Colorado, and an incredible Fishing Expedition with Charlotte Queen Adventures in British Columbia. Heading Into 2016, BC40 has hosted 69 veterans to date, and continue to add more opportunities here in CO.

In 2012 we were honored to have Navy Seal Chris Kyle along for the hunt. On 2/2/13, Chris was tragically taken from this earth,  with the Glade Park "Seal On The Mountain Hunt" now being conducted in his honor.

"It is our duty to serve those who serve us" were the words that Chris lived by, with BC40 forging ahead on those words in order to give back to those who have given so much.

I also would love to sign my husband up for this. He is a Purple Heart, medically retired OIF vet. He has only dreamed of a opportunity like this. Tsantiago1999@gmail.com

I wish That all Veterans like me who never saw combat would get the chances that combat vets do!! Everyday since May 19th 2005 that's the day that was the beginning of the end of my very short Army career(I was medically Retired in March 2006), everyday I live with the guilt that I could and would never get the chance to support my brothers and sisters in arms by guarding the backs in battle, I get around 8 hours of sleep a week, I'm living in my basement only to leave for doctors appts. or with the help of a lot of medications am I somewhat able to confront all my demons, please forgive my brothers and sisters I'm sorry I let you all down!!
